Prepping your skin before a tan can make a big difference for the perfect tan. Here are some great tips for the perfect tan. Exfoliate and moisturize your skin 24 hours before your tan, paying attention to your elbows, knees, ankles and any other area that is dry. Wax or shave 24 hours before, this will have your skin smooth and have your tan last longer. Before going to get a spray tan, make sure that your skin is clean and dry, do not apply moisturizing lotion before except you can put a light amount on your knees and elbows, which helps those areas from getting too dark as they absorb the tan.

After you have had your spray tan it is important to wear dark loose clothing, tight clothing may cause marks. Shower lightly in lukewarm water only after your desired development time, remembering to only rinse and not use shower gels, soaps, shampoos, scrubs or a loofah during the first wash.  Pat your skin dry when drying do not rub your skin. Moisturise everyday will help keep your skin moisturised and keep the tan looking fresh and last longer.
